Free Bird Racing was born for the dream chasers, the compassionate misfits, the high octane hippy hearts, and the ones whose fire never goes out. 

Free Bird is girl powered and founded by Ashley Sanford, professional race car driver, entrepreneur, and humanitarian. Growing up off roading in the Southern California desert, she cheered on her Grandfather and Dad who competed in the wild world of Sand Drag Racing while she would simultaneously dress up her Barbie’s on the side lines. So like any teenage thrill seeker, she went down a dirt strip in a dragster she named “Free Bird” at 16 and the rest was history.

She set her eyes on chasing big dreams in the NHRA and Monster Jam, and accomplished both with the love and support of the team around her. Free Bird Racing was created to expand that team to all like minded and kindred souls, forming a community of support in all of our dream pursuits on and off the track and doing it in style.

Rooted in real grass roots racing history and fueled by a deep love for creativity and community, Free Bird Racing is more than a clothing brand - it’s family. A reminder that freedom isn’t just something you chase, but something you carry within you.

Every piece is created in smaller batches using premium, eco-conscious blanks and custom artwork inspired by old-school motorsports, retro and vintage soul, So Cal street style and a belief that kindness, grit, and individuality still matter.
